Financial requirements

Bihar Yoga Bharati is a residential institution and takes full responsibility for students’ lodging and on-campus first aid. Medical expenses, including medicines and off-campus consultation or hospitalization, will be borne by students. No actual tuition fee is charged; the course fee paid covers the cost of board, lodging and other common charges (full fees are given for each individual course below). The price of books and other sundry expenses are borne by students during their stay on campus.

Course Fees

Fees for the Yogic Studies Courses
  Full fees are to be paid at the time of admission and registration. All course fees include hostel charges, meals and common charges.
   
Course in Yogic Studies - 4 months
  Indian nationals: Rs. 8,000
  Overseas students: US$1,500

Examination Fees

All applicants - Rs. 25/- examination fees are payable in Indian rupees at the time of examination.

Other Fees and Expenses - All Students

Yoga Practice Outfits
  The cost of yoga practice outfits is approximately Rs. 300 per set.
   
Annual program
  During November/December each year, students are encouraged to participate in the 5-day Sita Kalyanam program in Rikhia. All costs of travel and accommodation (approximately Rs. 2,000) are to be borne by the student.
   
Field Trips
  The cost of travel expenses, accommodation and miscellaneous expenses while on field trips to the Rikhia Ashram are to be borne by the student.
   
Certificate postage costs
  All BYB students are expected to remain on campus to receive their certificates. In unforeseen circumstances, those who require these to be posted need to lodge Rs. 200 for overseas postage or Rs. 100 within India.

How to Pay

Indian Nationals
  Payment of all fees may be in cash or bank draft drawn in favour of Bihar Yoga Bharati, Munger.
Overseas students
  When paying fees at the Institute at the time of admission, use either cash (US dollars, euros or pounds sterling) or travellers cheques (TCs are safer). Students should bring their course fees and enough cash to cover their period of stay at the Institute.

 

Please note that Bihar Yoga Bharati does not accept payment via credit card, nor is there any local facility for credit card encashment.

All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
