Rikhiapeeth
An Introduction
Rikhiapeeth
is situated in a tiny, remote and obscure village of Rikhia panchayat
twelve kms from the renowned temple of Deoghar also known as Baba Baidyanath
Dham in the state of Jharkhand.
Named after the Panchayat in which it is situated, Rikhiapeeth was born
on 25th November 2006 during the auspicious occasion of the Rajasooya
Yajna at the special moment when the poornahuti for the Sat Chandi Maha
Yajna was being offered to Devi Ma. It was during this sacred ceremony
that Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati proclaimed that from now on Rikhia
ashram will be known as 'Rikhiapeeth'.
Sri
Swamiji further declared that the mantra Aim Hrim Klim which
was the samput for the Sat Chandi Mahayajna and had been chanted by lakhs
of devotees from all corners of the world on the hallowed grounds of Rikhia
ashram for 12 long years would be the mantra for Rikhiapeeth.
The yantra for Rikhiapeeth would be the sacred Sri Yantra and its
adhistratri devi or mandala would be Tripura Sundari.
Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati then named Swami Satyasangananda Saraswati
as the first Pithadishwari of Rikhiapeeth.
