Sat Chandi Yajna
|
We may be intellectually mature but until and unless we become emotionally mature this trend will escalate. And eventually it is each individual who will have to grapple with his own problems. No government, no system, no leaders, no social system, will be able to protect him in his distress.
Have you ever stopped to think about it or do you just flow with the current? How are you as an individual going to cope in such a situation? To whom will you turn for support and strength when you need it? How are you going to protect yourself from the onslaughts that have arisen on account of this one-sided human development where the intellect was nurtured but the inner intelligence was ignored?
There are some things in life that money cannot buy nor can guns and bullets destroy and in order to equip yourself it is that something to which you will have to turn; that power which lies within each and every one of us. She is the Goddess Chandi. Her other name is Kula Kundalini. It is only through this Divine intervention and interaction that you can build your own personal immunity to the problems you are going to face in the future.
This
is not religion. This is a physical reality. Kula Kundalini, the Goddess
Chandi is present in each one of us as the dormant potential. The source
of all knowledge, wisdom and power. She will have to be invoked and aroused
by worship so that your higher intelligence can be the source by which
you protect yourself.
It is to invoke this higher intelligence in each one of us that the Sat Chandi Yajna is dedicated. In this Yajna the Goddess Chandi who epitomises beauty, strength, compassion and grace is adored, worshipped and invoked. She is perfection at its zenith, the creation of Divine Will. This esoteric ritual of invocation is accomplished through mantra, yantra and mandala. The three basic concepts on which the science of Tantra rests. These three tools influence the archetypal consciousness in us giving birth to a divine awareness.
After
the arousal of Goddess Chandi, Kula Kundalini, rubbing the aranya sticks
performs the most ancient rite of kindling fire and into this fire oblations
are offered with devotion.
This magnificent ceremony which will culminate in the wedding of Sita and Ram (the individual with the cosmic) will give each of us an opportunity for the divine to intervene in our lives and direct it too.
Knowledgeable and eminent pundits from Varanasi, the acclaimed seat of learning and wisdom, will conduct this yajna. Yajnas are both sakama (with personal desire, for the fulfilment of a purpose) and nishkama (without personal desire, for the good of all). Both types of yajna are potent.
However, the sakama yajna which is full of rajas shakti has the potency to fulfil the purpose of just the person who conducts it, whereas the nishkama yajna due to its sattwic nature fulfils the wish of all that are present. A wish made at a yajna receives divine attention and fulfilment.
I will meet all of you during these days of worship of Chandi the Kula Kundalini or Cosmic Mother and hope you will be present.
