1997

Sivananda Math completed the construction of a three storey building, Tapowan, at Pania Pagar where donations of clothing, blankets, bartan and other items are kept, sorted and distributed to needy villagers. On the second floor of Tapowan is Satsang Bhavan, a classroom fully equipped with various teaching aids for the education of village girls and ladies.

Stationery, notebooks, school uniforms, materials, pencils cases, school bags, games, toys, text books, dictionaries, school library books etc., were distributed to 553 students at Rikhia Middle School, Amarva. All teachers were presented with blankets, umbrellas, diaries, calendars, notebooks, stationery, Bihar School of Yoga publications and clothing.

Sivananda Math awarded a scholarship and course books to Rajendra Ramani, son of Tetu Ramani, Village Nawadih, Panchayat Rikhia School.

From 26th November to 4th December, Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati graced the auspicious occasion of Sita Kalyanam, dedicated to the young brides in Sri Swamiji's neighbourhood who received gifts in abundance on his behalf.

The Sivananda Math Charitable Dispensary examined patients and distributed medicines (donated by devotees). Along with medicines, various nutrients and supplements were also distributed to these patients, the majority of whom suffer from malnutrition. Sivananda Math continued the treatment of TB patients in the ongoing TB project.
