Donations

General Items
  Utensils for cooking and eating, stoves, chulhas, foodstuff, furniture, linen, curtains, brooms, mops, buckets, mugs, mattresses, pillows, blankets, quilts, towels, durries, rugs, umbrellas.
Transportation
  Bicycles, thelas (hand carts), cycle thelas,rickshaws, bullock carts, three wheeler tempos.
   
Livestock
  Cows, bulls, goats, buffaloes.
Farming Implements
  Ploughs, hoes, mattocks, digging tools (khurpie, spade etc.), sickles, picks, saws, axes, seeds of grain and vegetables, manure, fertilisers, insecticides, spraying equipment, pumping sets.
For Infants
  Nappies, feeding bottles, nipples (dummies), baby clothes, baby woollens, bedding for infants, shoes and socks, prams and cribs, toys, tins of milk power, baby foods.
   
Boys (aged 2-18)
  Clothes, woollens and underwear, shoes and socks, balls, toys and games, comics and picture books, general knowledge books, stationery, school bags and satchels, hockey sticks, badminton, footballs, cricket sets.
Men
  Dhoti (5 yards), gamchha, lungi, t-shirt, kurta, track suit, trousers, woollens and underwear, shoes, sandals, sneakers and socks, games, reading materials
Girls (aged 2-18)
  Clothes, woollens, underwear, saris, lehnga-choli, shoes, sandals, sneakers and socks, hair clips and bands, combs, brush, mirror and suitable ornaments, cosmetics, sanitary towels (for unmarried girls) and tampons, toys and games, picture books, general knowledge books, stationery, school bags and satchels.
Ladies
  Saris, blouse and petticoats, woollens, cosmetics and ornaments, handbags, slippers.
   
Important:
 

Under the instructions of Sri Swamiji, items like saris, bangles, vermilion, sandals, wristwatches and golden ornaments like nose rings, nose pins, earrings, bracelets etc., cosmetics like soap, lipsticks, nail polish, face cream, powder etc. are presented to the young girls at the time of their marriage and departure to their in-laws place. Sri Swamiji himself offers such items to the young girls. It is his method of worshipping the Divine Mother which he does with devotion and feeling. Your offering of such items will also be accepted.

You may bring used or new items. However, second hand items should be good enough for use. Used items should be cleaned and wrapped in plastic. This is especially applicable for clothing. Used cloth, if washed, ironed and wrapped in plastic before it is offered, would be appreciated. Each packet must contain the name and address of the donor, and also mention if the offering is being made on behalf of someone.

   
Please Note:
  Electrical items, wall clocks, torches and such like are of no use to the people who life in this area and therefore should not be offered.
  Overseas donors can organise to contribute a donation in kind through their local Satyananda Yoga centre.
